Being creative is healthy for your brain. Here’s why (short post)

Just the other days I was listening to a podcast, as I usually do on my morning walks  – The diary of a CEO – when I bumped into an insightful tip.

I immediately took my notebook and wrote it down:

If you can focus once a week on a creative activity (creative can also be walking in the nature, just found out), your brain perceives you to be safe.

Why?

Because going back to human evolution, means your brain knows that the fact that you took time to do this sort of activity means you’re good – you’re not worried about immediate safety stuff like procuring food for yourself or being stressed about major events in your life.

It was such a simple thing to realize, but up until that moment I wouldn’t have said in a dialogue – oh you know it’s been proven that being creative is healthy.

I guess I always looked at it as something that I am, not necessarily that I need as a healthy habit.

Comment if you liked this type of short snippet of info, and also tell me – what’s your favorite creative activity?

I love thinking about writing topics and I always have a list of things that fly around my ear daily and make my day.
